Welcome to EyeContact. By using our app and website, you agree to the following Terms & Conditions. Please read them carefully before proceeding.
1. Acceptance of terms
By using EyeContact, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old and fully accept these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree with any of these terms, please do not use the service.
2. Description of the service
EyeContact is a social platform that allows users to find people they've met in real life, based on geolocation and mutual consent.
The service includes:
Creating listings to search for people seen at a specific location
Mutual matching system based on being in the same place at the same time
Chat activated only after both parties consent
Referral system with reward levels
Notifications related to matches, requests, and messages
3. User accounts
To use EyeContact you must:
Be at least 18 years old
Provide accurate information during registration
Keep your account and password secure
Not create fake or multiple accounts
Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access
We reserve the right to suspend or delete accounts that violate these terms.
4. Geolocation and consent
By using EyeContact you agree that:
Your location data will be processed according to the mode you have chosen
The system will use your location to generate matches with other users
You can change your location preferences at any time
Disabling geolocation will limit certain features of the service

5. Listings and matches
When you create a listing on EyeContact:
The listing remains active for 48/72 hours from publication
You can only create listings in places consistent with your geolocation level
Listings are automatically deleted upon expiry
A match only occurs if both parties were in the same place at the same time
EyeContact does not guarantee that you will find the person you are looking for.
6. Profile unlock and payments
EyeContact features a profile unlock mechanism that can happen via:
Watching a video
Making a payment defined within the app
Payments are handled through certified third-party providers. EyeContact does not store payment data. Payments for unlocking are non-refundable except in cases of documented technical failure.
7. Referral system and rewards
By participating in EyeContact's referral system:
Each referral is only counted with real and valid email addresses
Self-referral is not permitted and is automatically detected
Reward levels are updated automatically when thresholds are reached
EyeContact reserves the right to modify the rewards for each level with prior notice
Event-related rewards are subject to availability and the specific conditions of each event
8. User conduct
By using EyeContact you agree to:
Not harass, threaten, or intimidate other users
Not create listings with false, offensive, or discriminatory content
Not attempt to circumvent the system's privacy mechanisms
Not use the service for unauthorized commercial purposes
Not collect other users' data without consent
Violation of these rules results in immediate account suspension.
9. Personal data
The processing of your personal data is described in our Privacy Policy, which forms an integral part of these Terms & Conditions. By using EyeContact you consent to the processing of your data as described therein.
10. Intellectual property
The name EyeContact, the logo, design, texts, and all original content in the app and website are the exclusive property of EyeContact. Copying, reproducing, or distributing this content without written authorization is prohibited.
11. Service availability
We strive to ensure service availability but cannot guarantee:
Absence of technical interruptions
Uninterrupted access to all features
That any specific feature will remain available at all times
We may update or discontinue features at any time with reasonable notice.
12. Limitation of liability
EyeContact is not responsible for:
Loss of data due to technical issues
Actions taken by other users on the platform
Any damages arising from use or inability to use the service
Interactions between users that occur outside the platform
Use of the app is entirely at your own risk.
13. Third-party services
EyeContact may use third-party services for hosting, analytics, and crash reporting. These services have their own terms and privacy policies. We only work with providers that meet adequate data protection standards.
14. Changes to terms
We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
15. Governing law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by Italian law. Any disputes arising from the use of EyeContact will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Milan, Italy.
